Various scientific computations using large matrices.
This will be more common in the future with cost reductions of
computers. The price
of this last one with 521Mb was exactly the same as that of my previous
one, with only 16Mb, purchased 3-4 years ago. Occasionally for running
large matrices programs I borrowed other computers in the lab, which had
at most 256 Mb, so that I never met the problem previously.
