Just install the files you already have, that is enough to work with DOS in Windows 98. There is a difference between a DOS shell under Windows and a DOS only platform. If you try to use DJGPP (or any programs you write) in 'pure dos', i.e. not a dos shell under Windows, you may get this error Load error: no DPMI - Get csdpmi*.zip Then you will know to look at the FAQ, section 6.2
