With the Aureal Vortex-2 sound card in DOS mode, it should act as
a soundblaster compatible card using IRQ 5 and DMA channel 1.

When various DJGPP programs are run using CWSDPMI, the DMA transfers
apparently succeed, but the IRQ is never recieved by the DJGPP program.

If PMODETSR is used instead, the programs work correctly.
Does anyone know why this might be?
