"..." is special in DJGPP: it expands to all the subdirectories of the
current directory, recursively.  What you see is the first element of the
expansion, the "." directory.

If you want to pass "..." verbatim to your program, surround it with quotes,
exactly like you'd do with a wildcard characters "*", "?", etc.
