Those very clear instructions will not get RSXNTDJ 1.3.1 working with anything newer than GCC 2.7, and the small additions to the RSXNTDJ 1.5 help files are pratically worthless as they contradict other things in the manuals. > The only thing that didn't work for me was building C++ programs, > which is related to newer gcc versions, and probably quite trivial > to fix. No, not really. To fix RSXNTDJ 1.3.1 to work with GCC 2.8+ requires a news specs file and some other stuff. RSXNTDJ 1.5 works with GCC 2.8+ out of the box. > Another potential problem is how RSXNT replaces the standard > linker with a hacked version that doesn't work so well for building > DOS programs (it fails to warn you about missing functions, and > gives errors when used with the -s switch). RSXNTDJ 1.5 doesn't do this anymore. Have you even used 1.5 before Shawn? Johan Venter ICQ 3643877 surf.to/djgppig
