You're absolutely right, of course. 
I totally overlooked the info-command, and didn't look hard enough for
textfiles. (imagine, silly ol' me, thinking they'd be in the
"doc"-directory)
No excuse, i know. Won't happen again !!

However, if i feel the need to ask a question, i will do just that !
