At first find why is twice, I guess you were playing with the compile and 
linker "extra" options. Find it and remove it. Now for the problem, I guess 
you played with -s switch, look the command used when linking and I think 
you'll find -s is passed, in this case you are asking to the linker to remove 
the debug information. That's a common error, so perhaps is your case.
