I have myself had the necessity to move zips to 1.44M floppys, mainly when I
have downloaded DJGPP. I did this using winzip to put the .zip files
downloaded from the net into another .zip file, located on the floppy drive.
With the multiple disk spanning option enabled, winzip will kindly ask you to
insert another disk when the first one is full. if you later also unzip with
this program, it will handle all of the trouble for you, unzip the floppy .zip
file to the location you choose. 
Winzip isn't hard to find on the net - just search for "winzip" - and is in
most cases shareware, and therefor free during a test period.
