I'm wanting to make a Protected Mode TSR for to reasons: 1. A DOS screen saver - with cool graphics-pictures etc. Im sure with djgpp you can make one with no worries about hogging up the convetion memory? I spend a lot of time in rhide nowadays and I've made a screen saver in Turbo C/C++ but u know the limits.... Can you help me with some code, examples PLEASE I I dont understand this DPMI, GO32, and to mke it works I've not found any free manuals which help the trasition from 16-32bit!!! 2. I must say U guys impress me so!!!! I never thought posible what you have done - djgpp - Allegro - THANK YOU !! for sharing them with us.... One think that has really AMAZED me is in Allegro 3.11 I went in to native DOS, ran the sample Alegro Setup file and _unbeliviably_my_Sidewinder_gamepad_WORKED! meaning that theres a native dos driver for that joystick that someone has writen... W O W !!!!! I've been for 2 years frustrated 'cause I've come across many games that only work in native DOS (non of this Win DOS Box) so Its forced me to put my joystick away hoping that some day I may actualy use it!! MAYBE NOW I CAN! I need your help (and Shawn's as well - I pray U R willing) I wand to make a TSR that I can load before running one of these games - such that it will comunicate with the joystick port sending the data.. you get the Idea. That way games would be able to use these DIGITAL joystics. (MS is silly - they should have made something like these for their joysticks - who said Win95 is the only operating system, what of OpenDOS, Linux...) I know you're busy, but with your expertiese - you could do this in an hour, Im sure, you've already got the source used in Allegro... _please_ I'd be forever grateful.. Let me know your verdict :-) ICE ~~~
