I got it to compile.....The problem was.....
my borland path was somehow taking top priority over the djgpp path, I guess
from the multiple calls to set path......so I just appended the borland path to
the end (same line) as the djgpp path and that cleared it all up, no more
problems with Make.  Thanks for all of your help.....and might I say,
Hargreaves is a genious!!!!!!
