What login.bat?  There's no such file in the bsh1147b.zip
distribution.  There's only boot.bat.

Anyway, please post the exact contents of both the batch file and
_bashrc you are using.  You have almost certainly changed something in
the files supplied with the distribution (for starters, _bashrc
defines EDITOR as "mule -w", and I doubt that you use MULE), and the
problem here seems to be in the details.
