I'm a super-newbie at C++.

I'm using GCC 2.8.1 and I found that, while gxx supports exceptions,
gcc doesn't (and I also have to add -lstdcxx). Is this true?

Problem is, rhide compiles a C++ file calling gcc, so, besides having
to rename libstdcxx.a to libstdcx.a (no long names?), I get an
executable with no exceptions support.

What can I do?
