I've downloaded the booting kernel made by "Bill". -: He gave a mail address in the readme. file, namely -: billc AT blackmagic DOT tait DOT co DOT nz. This isn't right. I've send a mail to it but -: the mail server gave a error in return and a address like -: www.blackmagic.tait.co.nz or ftp.blackmagic.tait.co.nz doesn't exist. Can -: anybody help me, or if Bill is reading this, give me your mail address. I'm -: REALLY interested on working with it and I've got a lot of questions. I too am very interested in working with this kernel, and a few weeks ago I tried (unsuccessfully) to contact Bill Currie to talk about it. I don't know much about building an OS, but I would really love to see a 32-bit kernel built using DJGPP that I can use to replace the M$-DOG kernel (and then use bash rather than command.com as the primary shell). There is also COSMOS at http://www.netwurx.net/~geezer/index.htm which looks promising and appears to be DJGPP-friendly. I haven't yet built Bill's kernel, but as far as I can tell from looking through the source, Bill has taken a huge bite out of the problem, not only with his embryonic kernel but also with his LFN driver. He indicates in the readme file what tasks remains to be done, but I don't have a good feel for what would be involved with each one. j
