Hi,

	I'm just wondering (now that I'm beginning to write C++ libraries): 
are _all_ C++ libraries (such as iostream) built on top of preexisting
C functions? For example, when I go "cout << "hello world!";" what 
actually happens? Wouldn't it be smart, actually, to base all C++ 
functions on top of preexisting (working) functions? Or what? Thank
