I fixed there some problems that are not yet fixed in 1.4.5. I myself transfered changes to 1.4.5 and built it for DJGPP using also sources of gdb-4.16 but perhaps currently it's better to use previous version for such test. With original 1.4 for DJGPP (and 1.4.1 for Linux) I got various crashes (maybe not exactly similar as Your one, but consequences of corrupting memory cannot be predicted, especially on a different system) URL is: http://www.lanet.lv/~pavenis/rhide.html If this helps it's possible to go to 1.4.5, but some patches may be needed.
