The problem is with timing. I have a sonar unit that that pings once a second. the output from a 555 timer is low for a second, then hi for 10-150 milliseconds then low again. I'm trying to measure the hi and low time. On 3 out of 5 computers I tried this on, I get Hi and low times that are close to each other. On 2 other machines it works great. The 2 machines it works on are a 386 and a pentium, the 3 it does not work on are 2 486 laptops and another 386. has anyone ever had this type of problem before? One suggestion given to me was to compile the code so its 286 compliant, How do you do this? Any help will be greatly appreciated. -- ,,, (.~.) =========================--oOO--(_)--OOo--===================== Lester (Ringo) Davis
