In true colour mode this is correct, but in 256 colour mode the transprent colour can be any colour you like, but it has to be at index 0 of the palette, I have never used photoshop, so I can't give specific advice here, but it is necessary to modify the palette so that index 0 corresponds to colour 0,0,0 (or whatever colour you want as transparency) ciao Giacomo
