Hi,
I have the book Windows NT 4 Programming : From the ground up
(quite rectnt; 1997).

I did not come with the source, but I managed to get it from the publishers'
site.  After getting it, certain macros aren't defined, like the 
HWND_DESKTOP, or MM_ANISOTROPIC for the SetMapMode() function. 
Although the SetMapMode() func. was in the WINVERS.H file in the RSXNT 
package.

The book warns that the Transformation fuctions aren't avail. under Win95 or 
Win3.x.  Could that be it.

I managed to replace the MM_ANISOTROPIC  with a number, like 0.
and replaced HWND_DESKTOP with NULL, and it compiled fine.
