Such a corrupted message window? What a program are you using ? :-))

OK, I assume your are using RHIDE, but posting here such a screen
dump looks really not good. And to your problem: Have your read the
README.1ST from the DJGPP distribution where it is written, what
archives you need to compile/link C++ programs. If not, please do so,
because from the name of your source file, gcc tries to compile it
as a C++ source file. (If this is not what you wanted, than you have to
rename it to a valid C source filename like cpp.c )
