I had this problem when running a (much older) version of RHIDE under Linux
dosemu, without giving sufficient DPMI memory. Perhaps the problem in your
case is similar, i.e. that Win 3.1 isn't giving enough DPMI memory for RHIDE
and the tools it runs to coexist?
