That's by coincidence; DJGPP is not incorrect in exhibiting this
behavior.  It's the fault of the programmer in using two incompatible
screen libraries.  The same is true of mixing others, such as stdio and
curses, or conio and curses.  They are all unaware of what the others
are doing, so unexpected behavior will often result.
