The InfoZip people have source code for zipping/unzipping (a DJGPP port
and many others), their homepage is at
http://www.cdrom.com/pub/infozip/ - or search for zip21.zip /
unzip531.zip with http://ftpsearch.ntnu.no/ftpsearch e.g.

For RAR, there is or has been a free unrar source (unrars10.rar).

And, of course, there is gzip - gzp124s.zip from where you got DJGPP.
