The make complained that there was: No rule to make target `c-parse.gperf', needed by `c-gperf.h'. I noticed that there is a c-parse.gpe (same long name as 8.3 name) in the gnu\gcc2721 directory, and I presume that is the needed file, but why is the name different? I unzipped with WinZip v6.2, the latest release, and I've had no trouble with long names and WinZip before. WinZip shows the name as "c-parse.gpe" inside the zip as well. Is this a sign of some problem with the gcc2721s.zip archive? Were names accidentally truncated when it was built? Or did I miss some important instructions in a readme somewhere? I also noticed that the "configur.bat" file in the gnu\gcc2721 directory has these lines in it: :call_go32 call config\msdos\configure %1 %2 %3 %4 ^^^^^^^^^ Well, there is a file config\msdos\configur.bat, but even under LFN=Y the name is *not* "configure.bat". The LFN name is the same as the 8.3 name: H:\GNU\gcc-2721>dir config\msdos Volume in drive H has no label Volume Serial Number is 15E4-116F Directory of H:\GNU\gcc-2721\config\msdos .
