I used to run DJGPP 1.12m4 (an older version which AFAIK has a larger memory footprint than 2.0x) on a 386SX40 with 2MB of RAM, that's worse than the previous poster describes. But: I read the FAQ (it has some useful tips, one of which is to get rid of your 1MB RAM drive, that memory is better used elsewhere). And I didn't use RHIDE (none at that time), I used the command line. I could compile GNU awk in about 1.5 hours on that machine.. and hello, world in two minutes. :( Best option really is to get a faster board with more memory. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Orlando Alcantara Andico WWW: http://gibson.eee.upd.edu.ph/~orly/ Email: orly AT mozcom DOT com ICBM: 14 deg. 30' N, 120 deg. 59' E POTS: (+632) 932-2385 "violet serene like none I have seen apart from dreams, that escape me, there was no girl as warm as you."
