(12 fps is my guess...on a PPRO!) Smalltalk is good for learning OOP, but not good for speed-dependent programming, e.g. games, IMHO. It compiles to an interpreted bytecode, like most BASICs, and unlike C or even C++. This makes it slow as molasses... -- .*.
