    This note announces the release of a first beta version of WHAM
    a simple windowing system using Allegro

    what is WHAM
    -windowing system using allegro
    -very simple(no things like buttons etc yet)
    -uses standard allegro bitmaps for its windows so you can use all 
the standard allegro functions on the windows

    -advantages above TWS & SWORD(which are very good btw)
        -compatible with allegro
        -small&simple(esp compared with sword)
        -no need to write an event driven program, these routines 
        don't do anything else as providing an interface.
        -windows with a REAL shadow,looks quite nice.(shanks to 
Allegro's shading         routines) 
        
    -disadvantages
        -the last advantage ;)
        -docs in my english(means lots of typo's and strange 
        sentences, but I guess the average DJGPPer can live with that)
        -somewhat slow if you use a LOT of windows
        -code not yet prettified(aarg)+some inconsistencies in the 
design which I hope to remove in a later version
