I, recently, got the Djgpp package, version 2, and uncompress onto my
harddisk. The document said it required:

set Djgpp=C:\Djgpp\Djgpp.env.

The documentation, which I had read, did not mention any other for the
installation. I did not get a chance to download the entire Djgpp, V2,
but the C/C++ material was the most pressing. In running the gcc, an
error was generated:

gcc.exe: installation problem, cannot exec `as': No such file or
directory (ENOE
NT).

I am unaware of what 'as' and did not see anything outside of setting
environment variable; therefore, I can not even guess where the
installation problem is from. The attached files were gotten by:

C:> set > environ.1st;
C:> go32-v2 > output.

Hopefully, my conundrum is not too serious.

go32/v2 version 2.0 built Aug 12 1996 22:27:23
Usage: go32 coff-image [args]
Rename this to go32.exe only if you need a go32 that can run v2 binaries as
 well as v1 binaries (old makefiles).  Put ahead of the old go32 in your PATH
 but do not delete your old go32 - leave it in the PATH after this one.
Set GO32_V2_DEBUG=y in the environment to get verbose output.
