You didn't say what command line you used which worked; it may be that you
actually don't have the C++ libraries, and your command line wasn't
linking them in. Try using gxx instead of gcc; if that fails in the same
way, you probably need to download v2gnu/lgp271b.zip from the place you
got DJGPP.
