Make sure you got a full DJGPP installation; the minimum files you need to build Allegro are; v2/djdev201.zip v2gnu/bnu27b.zip v2gnu/gcc2721b.zip v2gnu/gpp2721b.zip (*) v2gnu/lgp271b.zip (*) v2gnu/mak375b.zip v2tk/alleg22.zip (*) These are required to build the setup.exe program, which is written in C++. You can comment out this portion of the makefile if you don't want to install C++. Make sure you've preserved the directory structure when unzipping, and that you put Allegro in a separate directory from your main DJGPP directory. Make sure you've followed the instructions in 'v2/readme.1st' for setting up your environment correctly.
