The particular mode I'm after atm is 320x256x16M. If all else fails I'd be
happy with 320x240 nevertheless.

What I'd like to see best though is a DOS/Win program which will mimic the
mode-options of the XF86_S3 server for Linux. I.e. reads out a config file
with horizontal and vertical timings per desired resolutions and tries to
get requested mode running in the desired color depth.
