I think I found some sort of a bug in (the port of) BASH (the newest
version, that is).
Example:
----------------------
bash$ echo `cat`
whatever text you want
^Z
whatever text you want
bash $ echo `cat`

bash $ _
----------------------
Until you use '|', '<' or '<<' some time again after that, backquotes
don't work (well, you get stdin empty).
