Possibly.  One of the things I've noticed about the DJGPP
newsgroup / mailing list is the variety of places people are
writing from, some of which I have no idea where they are,
and all treated as equals.  Heck, I wouldn't like to guess
at the gender of some, nor do i care.

Indeed.  And don't forget that some of us don't have newsgroup
access, and don't want to receive all of a newsgroup by email
if it's not relevant...
