A software engineer dies and comes to the heavenly gate. There he is 
asked: "Dost thou wish to go to heaven, or to hell?" So the software 
engeneer says: "May I look at them before I decide?" And before he 
knoweth he stands and sees heaven: Angels sitting on clouds and playing 
their harps. Then he goes on to see hell: Pretty girls and handsome boys 
having fun on a sunny beach.
So the software engeneer chooses hell to spend eternity. But behold - 
when he gets there, everything is different: People standing up to their 
hips in smut and grime. The sun can't be seen, the sky is so filled with 
sulpher vapors. A stench is in the air.
The software engineer goes to the nearest devil and asks: "Whatever 
happened to the beach and the girls?" And the devil replies: "Oh, that 
was our alpha-version. What you see now is the beta version. We're wrking 
on the final release, but it won't be ready in your lifetime."
