Hi,

	I am new the the DOS world, so perhaps I am not asking the right
questions or providing the right kind of info, so please be patient with
me.

	Anyway, I recently acquired an IBM PC-110 (a Win95 palmtop) while
I was in Japan, and figured that since I use emacs at work and at home,
I might as well install it on this machine, too (and since I didn't want
to pay for additional software, anyway).

	So, I installed djgpp (djdev201b.zip, gcc2721b.zip, bnu27b.zip)
and installed emacs (em1934b.zip, em1934r[123].zip) into the C:\DJGPP
directory, and tried to fire up emacs.

	The cursor is moved towards the lower right-hand corner, but the
screen is not cleared.  I think the FSF message is being "displayed" at
this point, but it actually does not get written to the screen.  I then
typed C-l and started to type something, and the cursor moves along as
I would expect, but the screen never gets updated.  If I "save" the file,
I can actually see that the content was exactly what I typed!

	It appears that emacs works, but the screen displaying routines
are somehow screwed up.  Anyway, here are the relevant hardware and software
info that I can think of, right now:

CPU: 486
RAM: 20M
Hard Drive: 340M (100M+ available after installation of software)
OS: Windows 95, Japanese (don't know which revision)

	Any help is greately appreciated.  Oh, I actually didn't verify
if I installed DJGPP correctly.  I'll try to compile a small program
when I go home tonight.
