Delete these excess blanks (or TAB)!  You define a variable ``DJGPP   '' 
(with the blanks or TAB as part of the name) instead of ``DJGPP''.

This is explained in the DJGPP FAQ list (available as v2/faq210b.zip from 
the same place you get DJGPP), section 8.1.
