The files I have are: binutils-2.7.go32.tar.gz djdev200.go32.tar.gz djlsr200.go32.tar.gz gcc-2.7.2.go32.tar.gz a) am I correct in assuming that the gcc-2.7.2.X and binutils-2.7.X are to be unpacked into an original distribution tree of binutils-2.7 and gcc-2.7.2? (this seems logical) b) what's in djdev200.X ? c) djlsr200.X contains the C library. This is in COFF format, AFAIK. Are there any special considerations if I build the cross-compiler on an ELF machine? d) the stuff I've listed above is for DJGPP v2. What about v2.01? what differences are there, from a cross-compiler viewpoint (aside from the added goodies)?
