OpenDOS is slightly beyond that goal. :o) Besides, when the OpenDOS sources are released, we'll have a FREE DOS with source. The FreeDOS project no doubt will continue, however unless it has the functionality of at least DOS 5.0 it is not very useful other than for nostalgic purposes.
