Sorry, it works for me.  Are you using Make 3.75?  Previous ports didn't 
support Unix-like shells at all, so be sure to use 3.75.  Also upgrade to 
the latest port of bash (from v2gnu on SimTel.NET); mine is dated 30 Dec 
1996.

It works for me from bash also.  If your bash is the latest, please tell 
me what are the date and size of your less.exe.
