This problem relates to the redirection of the standard error device. A remedy can be found in the 4DOS command shell (ftp://garbo.uwasa.fi/pc/cmd4dos/4dos552.zip), and its redirection options supported: >& filename To redirect standard output and standard error to a file or device >&> filename To redirect standard error only to a file or device -- Evgeni Popov
