Okay, the best way to do what you need is this. 1) Start from the current copy of DJGPP on your computer. 2) Get a stack of floppy disks handy. 3) CD to your DJGPP directory. 4) Issue the following command with PKZIP: pkzip -rP& a:\djgpp.zip *.* -x*.zip 5) Insert disks as needed. Note that the above command will not store the djgpp distribution files; that's what the '-x*.zip' is for. If you want to take those along as well, take out the -x parameter. When you get to your laptop, 1) Insert the first disk. 2) Oo to the root directory of your laptop's hard drive. 3) Create a directory for DJGPP. 4) cd to that directory. 5) Issue the following command: pkunzip -d a:\djgpp.zip 6) Follow the instructions. -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- | John M.
