Reply-To: kagel AT dg1 DOT bloomberg DOT com From: mdr AT worldlink DOT ca (Mark Robinson) Date: Thu, 14 Nov 1996 03:10:08 GMT Hi. I am looking for a free/almost free GCC compiler for DOS. does anyone know a ftp/web site from which I can get one. You've come to the right place! This is the mail list/newsgroup for just such a compiler, DJGPP. DJGPP is a full 32-bit implementation of GCC and G++ for DOS. It generates 32-bit DPMI applications which can be run in a Windows DOS box or under any other DPMI host. A free DPMI host is also available as part of the project. The main URL is: http://www.delorie.com with mirrors on many other sites such as: ftp://ftp/delorie.com/pub/djgpp/ ftp://viemeister.com/pub/djgpp/ ftp://ftp.kolej.mff.cuni.cz/pub/msdos/programming/delorie/ ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp Get the file: v2/readme.1st first it contains lists of files you will need or may optionally want and installation instructions. -- Art S.
