The header curses.h in pdcurses don't handle C++ properly. As a
workaround, try to include the file like this:

extern "C" {
#include <curses.h>
}

Or edit the file and add at the beginning

#ifdef __cplusplus
extern "C" {
#endif

and at the end

#ifdef __cplusplus
}
#endif

Personally, I did the second.
