I don't know, why don't you ask the people who wrote the compiler rather
than the people who merely ported it to DOS?  Try gnu.gcc.help, for example.

(Not that I ported it, I'm just a rude 3rd party :)

In any case, since this is an initializer for a (presumably) global data
element, why don't you put it in a separate file by itself and compile
just that file as C.
