Hey, DJGPP is great!  Do you know that Quake was built in it?  I am

You are supposed to make a project file, and then add the files you
want to compile to the project, and then everything will be OK.  That
was ment to be a feature to encourege people to use project files, but
it does not seem to be so usefull, so it will be removed in the next
release of RHIDE(yes, the one with integrated debuger.)  BTW, does
anyone know when the next release will be?
