Maybe you downloaded them in ASCII mode. If not then you probably have an old version of PKZip. Try to downloading UNZIP386.EXE from the same place you downloaded DJGPP (it should be in djgpp/ dir). Also on SimTel in gnu/gnuish directory youl find UNZIP512X.EXE & UNZIP512S.EXE (if I hadn't mistaken the numbers) - this is a GNU unzip that can deal with all the .ZIPs out there.
