Is this Windows 3.1 or 3.11? If it's 3.11, do you use 32-bit File Access and/or Win32s? If you do, disable 32-bit File Access (in the Control Panel) and try again. Let me (and Robert) know if this makes RHIDE work. Robert, how about adding a debug switch that will cause RHIDE print messages about the initialization stages, so people can tell you where does it freeze (since GDB doesn't work under Windows, they cannot debug RHIDE).
