You can get XAnim by Mark Podlipec at most any site (you could use VSL 
Quick Search at oakland to find it). This is the complete source for an 
MPEG, QuickTime, AVI, etc. etc. video player, with sound support for 
Linux and Sun computers. Although I don't think it would be easy to port 
this thing to DJGPP (if that's what you were getting at...)
