MicroEMACS is not too scary. but it's still emacs (supposedly not for the timid, though i could not exist without it). don't know where to find it these days, but there is a windows version as well. version i have is 3.12 (about a year old or so). this emacs (at least the DOS version) is small (few hundred KB disk footprint). BTW: is it possible to bind C-space to set-mark-command in GNU emacs on the PC? for some reason i can't do this bind in MicroEMACS (at least the versions i have). does anybody know how to do this with microemacs? i've had to bind this to M-space which is a pain. and while i'm at it, why is it that PC keyboards all see to have the control key on the line with the spacebar instead of where it belongs (next to A)? the T1900 is a rare exception (meaning i'll probably hang onto mine forever). just try to do C-a (goto beginning of line). yes, i know i can remap (and i have). -bill -- Bill Rosenkranz |UUCP: {uunet, texsun}!convex!rosenkra Convex Computer Corp. |ARPA: rosenkra AT convex DOT com
