Subject: Sample Makefile

Can someone out there in internet land send me a simple sample  makefile.
I have gmake from simtel but no example makefiles were included.

As long as I am asking is there a dos program that reads .tex files or can do
a decent
conversion to plain (ASCII) text. If you respond please include site name,
directory and
file name as sometimes I can be a bit slow.
