Could you give some details how you invoked GCC ? A common mistake producing in the described behavior is: gcc some.c -o some.exe This may lock your system on executing some.exe . gcc itself creates no *.exe files. You have to type: gcc some.c -o some.out coff2exe some.out This will create an executable program. Just a suggestion. Please post more details.
